Talks

The discussions that follow the movie screenings are a very important part of the educational function of the Festival. The jurors have the possibility to share their impressions from the movie, talk about the technical aspects and cinematography. Often after the screenings, our young audience has the chance to meet the local or international authors, directors or the stars of the movies for a Q&A session, which is always a unique experience.

The films selected for the official program often deal with delicate issues that are not always addressed in everyday life, in school or in families, so they stimulate the kids to ask questions and think. Therefore, after the screening, the kids are invited to express their feelings and opinions on the film, they are encouraged to speak up and so they do, without fear of being judged. The debates that arise on those occasions show how these shared moments help the kids to develop critical thought and awaken the desire to stand up and do something extraordinary, as big or small as it may be.

There are also the masterclasses, with prominent representatives of the art and creative industries, civil society, the environment and the education sector, both from North Macedonia and abroad. They talk with the young participants about their experience and the challenges they have faced on the path to success. These are all very useful moments in which the young participants get to learn about the various, sometimes unexpected career opportunities that the creative industries can offer and about different success stories of people who had the courage to follow their dreams and passion. Sometimes these discussions generate new ideas and open new horizons, and not only for the young participants, but also for the guests, these moments represent a unique enriching experience.
