                                                               JURIES

Participants: 600  juries

 JUNIORS: 120 juries        Location: Cinematheque of Macedonia

CADETS: 200 juries          Location: Youth Cultural Centre – MKC

SENIORS: 250 juries        Location: Youth Cultural Centre – MKC

Generator – Cadets  and Generator – Seniors are the two international juries.

International juries: 50 juries from other countries 

Countries: Italy, Serbia, Georgia, Croatia, Romania, Russia, USA and Azerbaijan.

 

One of the most notable traits of the cultural product “Giffoni” is the jury exclusively made up of children and youth from Macedonia, the Balkan and abroad.

Underlining the commitment to inspire creative interaction and to encourage a cultural exchange the festival becomes a meeting point of youth from all over the world, providing an environment where they can express their ideas, share experiences, creativity and knowledge.

 

The festival jury is divided into three official competitive sections:

Giffoni Juniors  10+

Age required, All children from 7th, 8th and 9th grade from Middle Schools.

Activities and cheperones All children participating in the jury will watch short films and feature films ( 60′ minimum). Moreover they will have the opportunity to participate in games and workshops. The parents’ presence is not necessary in the theatre (If there are available seats they will have the opportunity to watch the film but not sit near the juror). All children are free to go back home once the activities are over without the need of a chaperone. The films are screened in the original language with English and Macedonian subtitles. The Q&As will take place in Macedonian.

The juror’s kit All children registered will receive an email with all the useful info regards when and where to collect the juror’s kit (t-shirt, program, bag, badge).

Giffoni Cadets 13+

Age required All teenagers in 1st and 2nd year of High School.

Requirements : Good knowledge of English, active participation in the Q&As of films and special guests, ability to adapt to any situation.

Activities  All kids must participate in the screenings and following Q&As and attend the compulsory premieres. The films shall be screened in their original language and subtitles in English and Macedonian. The Q&As will take place in English.

The juror’s kit All the kids registered will receive and email with all the useful info regards when and where to collect the juror’s kit (t-shirt, program, bag, badge).

Giffoni Seniors  16+ 

Age required All teenagers in 3rd and 4th year of High School.

Requirements : Good knowledge of English, active participation in the Q&As of films and special guests, ability to adapt to any situation.

Activities  All kids must paricipate in the screenings and following Q&As and attend the compulsory premieres. The films shall be screened in their original language and subtitles in English and Macedonian. The Q&As will take place in English.
