13 students from Macedonia are taking part in the 50th edition of the major international film festival for children and youth, Giffoni, through streaming and video conference. This year the Macedonian jurors are participating from the premises of Giffoni Macedonia Youth Film Festival, where all the safety measures have been taken, following the recommendations for preventing the spread of covid-19.
The program for the international jury is divided in two parts, the first one, August 18-22, is for the age groups Generator +16 and +18, while the group Generator +13 is scheduled for August 25-29
This year The Festival has a reduced numbers of jurors: instead of the originally registered 7500 jurors, only 610 kids will be present in the cinema theatres, while 2000 more of them are joining them online from 32 Italian cities and 14 European countries. This new format, imposed by the current global health crisis, is helping Giffoni mantain the high presence of international audience, which this Festival is famous for.
